Sharing the wealth.

This site entertained me and kaiserliche for a while today. Shall it entertain you as well!

CLICK.

Personally, I think the little bouncing man and the dartboard were the most entertaining.

Note: These games don't come with instructions. USE YOUR ANIMAL INSTINCTS TO FIGURE IT OUT! And they don't particularly have a purpose besides getting you to kill time. HA.

...Did it work? *evil grin*

Note 2: kaiserliche is genius. But we all already know that. Most of all, he does. *hides*

NEW PRINTER OF SHEER JOY

We got a new printer. Actually, it's a printer, scanner, fax machine, and copier all in one. *dances* It's SO BEYOND COOL.

I can print from my laptop now.

We're giving our old printer and scanner to animeartistjo .

Seriously though. NEW PRINTER JOY.

One thing. The brand of the new printer is called "brother". On the packaging it says, "brother, always by your side." I'm sure that they were trying to make it connect with the buyer, but instead I was a little creeped out. Why? Because the old saying from somewhere "big brother is watching you" popped into my head, and when you put the printer's slogan with that saying...Creepy, right? *laughs*

;D My parents are awesome.

I was reading animeartistjo's recent posts (which are awesome, by the way), and I had to do this. Especially since my name gives me such angst whenever my family's on vacation somewhere and I look at the souvenirs with names on them for mine. And they never have it.

HowManyOfMe.com

There is

person with my name in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

Tell me, isn't that cool or what?!
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

Update from last post.

Remember my anger about it ending like it did?

Well, EVERYTHING IS ALL BETTER NOW! Turns out CLAMP made a LONG-ish epilogue...and I'm pretty satisfied with it. YAY!

Still though, the Kuro/Fai is only implied (stupid CLAMP), but at least I managed to get one last dose of it! AND it gave a (sorta) solid ending for most everything. Now, all we need is to wait for the of xxxholic~! Can't wait~!
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

Alright, I REFUSE TO ACCEPT CHAPTER 232 AS THE LAST CHAPTER. DO YOU HEAR ME?! THAT IS NOT THE END! CLAMP MOST DEFINITELY HAS SOMETHING UP THEIR SLEEVE.

O_O It simply CAN'T be the end. It almost concluded nothing and leaves us hanging for many things. The most important of them, KUROFAI, DAMNITALL!

And what about Touya and Yuki? What does Fai mean when he says "They're sleeping now, both of them. We'll start from there."

WTF?!

And what was the price that Syaoran and Watanuki paid to escape from the alterspace? IT BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN WATANUKI! AND WHAT WAS WITH HIS EMO STATEMENT TO SYAORAN WHILE LOOKING TOTALLY ANGSTY "Thank you for giving birth to me." *stabs the computer screen* CLAMP better at least provide an epilogue or something. With KUROFAI.

xxxholic BETTER HAVE A BETTER ENDING THAT TSUBASA!

I can't F***ING BELIEVE IT! *cries a storm* COMPLETELY UNBELIEVEABLE.

TV shows of the season

I watched Eastwick and was actually very disappointed with it. It's premise was sort of like Charmed, but not as sisters and I was so looking forward to things and then I was shot down by the very lame, attempting to be debonair but coming across as slightly...slimy, Darryl. Or however you spell his name.

The powers weren't that cool either. It was psychic dreams, nature/earth, and mind control/telepathic(?). I think the psychic dreamer is the "lead" out of the three, and sad to say that she was the one that I liked the least.

Instead of being single or in a relationship, there was psychic dreamer who is apparently the slut of the town, the nature/earth woman married to a borderline alcoholic and bum with five kids, and the telepath is crushing on a cute photographer but is completely awkward.

Also, I was very disappointed partly because there was so many sexual references in the show! Please, shows can be edgy and sharp WITHOUT constantly thinking about sex.

However, I watched Modern Family right after Eastwick, and I was, in turn, very pleased with it. The concept was interesting, and the families was HILARIOUS. I think this show couild have some promise...

Writer's Block: The truth is out there ...

If someone discusses UFOs at a party, do you assume they're a visionary or bonkers? Do you consider yourself a believer or a skeptic?

View 1076 Answers

First of all, I have to say that this Writer's Block is AWESOME.

Second of all, I believe that I would be the one discussing UFOs at the party, partly because I'd probably be bored out of my mind, and partly because I like making people think that I'm bonkers. And no, I'm not really bonkers.

If someone else was the one talking about UFOs, I'd jump in too~! FUN! Of course, I'm not so much as the "OMG! Crop circles in Kansas, previous siting was in January, scientificmumbojumbo," but more like that "HAHAHA, yesterday, I saw this SPARKLING LIGHT in the sky. IT BLINKED AT ME. I waved back. You want to meet an alien? Well, it's your lucky day, I AM ONE!"

So yes, if its between a believe or a skeptic, I think I'm more of a skeptic. But hey, if someone brings solid proof/evidence/support/whatever, than I'll believe it. But until then, I'll stick to the safe side of a skeptic and weird people out.

Fall TV series and stupid romance books

Watched first episode of ANTM (and yes, I'm ashamed to say that I do watch this series because the photoshoots are AWESOME but most of the time the girls are RETARDED...or the one that I do like gets eliminated. *sighs*). SHORT GIRLS! And OMG! ASIAN! ;D I wonder how long she'll stay in the competition.

I like Nicole (I think that's her name...it usually takes me a while to put face to name on that show), the one with the wavy/curly red hair. Her expressions of blah-ing are AWESOME. But I can't get over the fact that she's actually younger than me. I FEEL OLD. I hope she stays on! Especially since Allison (whom I was totally rooting for in the previous cycle) lost. Which was totally a bad decision because she was TONS better than Teyona.

--

Watched second episode of Glee! ;D This show makes me laugh, cringe, and squee in different turns. I like it.

And I rewatched the first episode, but the one that was available said director's cut, but I had no idea what that meant, so I shrugged and watched it anyways. Guess what? It was WILL (Matthew Morrison) SINGING SOLO and playing the guitar! o_O How could they have cut that?! I was searching all over the place the first time I watched the pilot trying to find a clip of something where Morrison sang! And they had cut it from the pilot! *growls*

Oh well, at least I was able to watch it now. Better late than never!

Second episode...totally kicked serious ass. LOVE THE SINGING~! The triangle thats forming between Terri, Will, and Emma might get on my nerves latter. Darn it.

Rachel is SO RIDICULOUS! She totally makes me cringe whenever she tries (key word) to hit on Finn. And then when Finn actually reacts! ...Dude, make up YOUR MIND! But I guess the point of things is how he balances between both worlds (according to wiki ;D)

I can't wait for the next episode~!

--

So I was in the library today trying to find new romance novels (that aren't by Nora Roberts), and I started reading some of the summaries of books from the same publishers of some books...and I came across this summary about a book by Susan Grant. It's called How to Lose an Extraterrestrial in 10 Days. If you can't tell just from the title, yes, it includes an alien. An ALIEN. *dies*

The summary provided on Grant's site is different from the short one in the back of the random book, but the male lead is basically an alien hitman on the run.

OMFG. FAIL.

New Japanese shopping center in SF Japantown- OFMG!

I clicked through--and totally wished that I lived in San Francisco for easy access so that I can go and drool over all the clothes stores that are opening there. And all the Japanese films and stuff that they will be showing. NOES! I'm so jealous!

I just clicked through all of the clothes sites that they offered links too...*wipes drool* It was beautiful. And I so wish that I could wear some of those clothes. NO! Why does it have to be San Francisco?! Stupid San Jose is too small for anything, I tell you! TOO SMALL!

There were some beautiful vests...and wonderful prettyful skirts that made ME wish that I wore skirts more! And the accessories...some of them were so KICKASS, I wished I had pierced ears so that I could wear them! Or the money to afford them! *wails*

I offer you links so that you may drool with me.

Here for home site to shopping mall.

They have links in the website above to these sites, but for my convenience, here is the gothic/punk and here is to the lolita.

DROOL WITH ME, I SAY, DROOL IN ENVY.

Question to all the writers and/or readers of slash

So, recently I've had this kickass idea for a fic as I was going through wiki on fairytales but right after I got the idea, I ran into a HUGE roadblock.

It's about brother-cest.

I wondering how, and when, brothers (if they do at all) get together without having underage sex and the like. It's a little difficult for me to work out in my head because...writing or even imagining underage sex is a little out of my universe.

I've got nothing against brother-cest, seeing that I'm an avid fan of Sam/Dean from Supernatural, and I've run across Uchiha-cest which seems to be popular (though I personally don't see the appeal there because Sasuke kicks so much more ass with Naruto...and Itachi looks good with Kisame or Kakashi). However, I'm having issues right now with myself because I can't figure out a good way (or at least a good time) as to when the guys should get together and about when they should either become aware of their feelings or of when they act on their feelings.

Some help please? With a cherry on the top? And whip cream? (Anything that shall shed some light on this problem will be a great help to me.)

Thanks!

From the mouth of the creator of Torchwood

I was reading my aunt's subscription of Entertainment weekly when I came across a short interview with the creator of Torchwood about Ianto's death and the fans' reactions.

OMG.

"There’s a risk that some people won’t come back to watch now that Ianto’s gone.
Vampires.

Apparently, after Twilight came out, the craze for vampires is back! Blood is the new thing, so wear red folks! Paint your nails black, wear dark red lipstick, and sparkle like diamonds in the sunlight! *hurls*

There are so many new dramas coming out this summer and the fall (or whenever) focused on vampire. Excuse me, but there are only a certain amount of vampires that one can take on TV before one gets sick of them. Or already knows all of the cliches that will be used. *dies* Please. Someone KILL me.

Vampires work best in writing. Trying to do them on screen usually ends up making them look like a joke because they are so emphasized, or they try to be sneaky and sly about being a vampire that it just makes you fall over laughing because that just makes them more obvious.

--

News on Twilight according to Entertainment Weekly (which I am now addicted to, and read my aunt's subscription weekly rather devoutly) is that it's going to have a graphic novel version of it. Illustrated by some Korean mangaka. The art looks AWESOME, so maybe the writing won't make want to go and kill myself? Who knows though, because Stephanie Meyers is apparently heavily editing it or whatever.

But SAD. Why is Twilight so popular that it gets a graphic novel made on it while Harry Potter (which kicks MUCH MORE ass) doesn't? There are so many books out there that are so more worth it to be made into a graphic novel, and it has to be Twilight. *dies*

--

On a random note, lj has a new (?) function where it can detect where you are. Apparently, I'm in Oakland. And, um, I'm NOT. *facepalms*

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today! I went to the first showing of the day, so entrance fee was just an amazing SIX dollars! Hooray for matinee and first showings~! Life is good~!

And since I ALWAYS have issues with the Harry Potter movies, today I shall rant it out for all of you to read at your leisure! There will be MUCHO spoilers, so if you haven't watched it yet, or don't care for spoilers, AVOID! Now, let us begin! *rubs palms together with an evil grin* YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED! I usually don't feel very charitable toward the HP movies.

So, the beginning of the entire movie was a waste of film. It was basically another one of those teenage angst/romance/drama crap that you see on television on bad shows. Yes. Hermione is all "I love Ron but he's so thick that he can't see it so I shall emo it out while trying to find ways to make him jealous!" And Ron goes "I love Hermione but I'm too thick to realize it so I shall date Lavender because she's making out with me!"

And THEN there's the STUPID ANNOYING romance that SUPPOSED to be between Ginny and Harry. So Harry is "I have feelings for GInny, but she's dating Dean, but I didn't remember that fact because she's flirting with me!" And Ginny is "I LOVE the Boy-Saviour, but I'm dating Dean and snogging him, but I have no problem flirting my ass off with Harry!"

HOMFG.

What ABSOLUTELY KILLS ME is the way that the director decided to start off the movie. Harry is sitting in a diner or something next to the train station and a girl goes up to him and they flirt. And Harry basically gets asked out and after the random muggle girl walks off, he pops a breath mint and checks his breath. *sighs* L~AME.

I don't really remember the sixth book, so sorry if some of my complaints are wrong, but according to my memory of it, THERE WAS NO SCENE OF THIS IN THE BOOK. Curse you artistic lisence that the director took!

And apparently, apparation is no longer like teleporting cleaning from one place to another. Now the apparators turn into these wisps of fog which I admit is a really cool affect, but TOTALLY WRONG.

The unbreakable vow scene with Severus and Narcissa is the first thing that we read in the sixth volume, correct? And it was intense and dramatic and suspenseful. Well, guess what. The director decides to do this after this stupid crap with Harry and Dumbledore and Horus (or whatever the heck his name was) Slughorn all met and blahblahblah-ed. And the scene lost it's intense factor with the director making Severus totally look like he was unwilling to take the Vow. And that should have completely given away that fact that he's not loyal to the Dark side. LAME. I mean, WTF?! And instead of Severus suggesting the Vow (it was him, wasn't it?), they have Bellatrix dance around and taunt Severus, calling him a coward and all this other random stuff. Whatever, it just bugged me that they lost so much of the emotion in this scene.

And one thing that I can complain about this scene for sure, WTF is up with Narcissa's hair?! She's blond, right? I don't care if she had black hair either, but apparently the director couldn't decide so they gave her black hair with these funky white chunks of hair at the side that she pulls back. Narcissa Malfoy, goth punk extrodinaire does NOT have the right affect here.

When Harry gets landed in the burrow, and the Death Eaters come calling. Um, hello? What happened to the Fidelious? (is that how you spell it?) And stupid Harry runs off to chase after Bellatrix through this random wheat field or whatever it was surrounds the Burrow while she sings (screams, shrilly) "I killed Sirius Black, I killed Sirius Black, heeheehoohoohaaa!"

And note. This is the ONLY part of the ENTIRE movie that Harry shows his emo-ing over Sirius Black's death which he's supposed to be doing SERIOUS emo-ing over, at least according to the book. *huffs indignantly* And Remus and Tonks (who are there) stand there on the porch of the Burrow, crying "Harry!" And letting him run willy-nilly after Bellatrix. GINNY gets after Harry first, and she runs willy-nilly through the field of whatevers after Harry. FINALLY, Remus and Tonks chase after them.

Note of signficance: THERE WAS NO ROMANCE BETWEEN REMUS AND TONKS (not that I liked their romance in the first place, but yes. Ranting about the books shall occur some other time). It's just, BAM, Remus and Tonks are there (their only appearance in the entire movie) and apparently, they are involved. Missing detail that KILLS everything? Tonks does NOT have pink hair. Um, WHAT?! Tonks only goes back to the boring brown after she and Remus fight or something or after he dies. *shakes head in despair*

After the chasing and willy-nilly running, the Burrow bursts into flames! Cue the running willy-nilly back...which Weasley senior (I forgot his name at the moment) leads. When he joined the willy-nilly running into the middle of nowhere, I seriously have no idea.

Change scene to Fred and George's joke shop, which is pretty much where their presence ends. Harry picks up the Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, or whatever and they go back to the streets. They go into Ollivander's shop, babbling about "Oh no, everybody got their wands at Ollivanders!" The Golden Trio prod at random pieces of the store, just in the right place to see Narcissa and Draco "looking like they didn't want to be seen", and following them to Borgin and Burkes.

They see the vanishing cabinent, and then duck down because Fenrir Greyback looks out the window before pulling the shades.

Let the stalking of Draco Malfoy begin!

But it doesn't.

Just some lameness on the train, Draco breaks Harry's nose, Luna finds him (which was TOTALLY AWESOME), the get off the train, cool special effects when the wards close up around Hogwarts. Note: Draco looks GOOD in his clothes. Tom Felton's face is okay, but he has good clothes. Heh.

*cough* Continuing on, don't sweat the small details.

When Harry and Ron fight over the potions books was HILARIOUS, and maybe only one of the good parts that the director added in. *sighs*

Some arguing over the book, yada yada whatever.

Quidditch try-outs, Qudditch game, blah blah, lame. Teenage angsting between Ron and Hermione. Lavender's HILARIOUS.

Katie Bell get's the cursed necklace. Blah blah blah.

Katie gets better, and Harry goes up to ask her if she remembers who cursed her, 'course she doesn't, then Draco enter. He sees Katie, pauses, looks panicked. Harry and Katie look toward him. Draco stares at Katie a little more then runs out of the Great Hall.

He goes the bathroom for thr KICKASS crying bathroom scene that I was SO looking forward to...and was sorely disappointed.

Sure, he's crying, but he has NO DIALOGUE BEFORE HARRY MAKES HIS ENTRANCE! LAME. We get nothing about his internal thoughts. Which was crucial to the plot. And get this. NO MRYTLE. How the HELL is that supposed to work then? Draco goes into Mrytle's bathroom to cry to her!

Instead, stupid little duel commences, Harry casts the Septumsemtra. Draco falls. Harry approaches. *gaspgasp* Clearly panicking from all the blood and how Draco was not moving. No calling for help, or examining the cuts which he does in the book. And POOF, somehow, magically, Severus and McGonagall KNOWS that there's trouble there and appear. Scene fade out after Severus heals Draco.

*dies* WTF?! That scene is ALL WRONG.

Harry and the gang are in the Common room, plus Ginny. "Harry, you have to get rid of the book." Pointed stare at the potions book in Harry's hands. He gives in, and him AND Ginny go to the Room of Requirement. Then GINNY hides the book. (After kissing Harry and we don't even know if she broke up with Dean yet or not.) HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK?! Harry's supposed to hide the book because later he comes back for it in the seventh book. If he didn't hide it, how does he know where to find it later? Does that mean that they're going to cut out the Fiendfyre scene with Draco?! They'd BETTER NOT!

Great part of humor, Hermione and Harry are in the library (which was AWESOME) and their talking about the Slug Club party whatever. Hermione gets to whack Harry in the head with a book because Harry was being an idiot. Heh.

The party was pretty funny too (though not really relevant to the plot). Hermione hides from that Cormac boy, Harry hides with her. When Cormac finds them, Hermione slips out, Harry stays. Cormac sticks something in his mouth that Harry and Hermione was eating from a little earlier, something that makes your breath smell bad or something. But when Cormac asks Harry what he was putting into his mouth, Harry deadpans, "Dragon's balls."

Cormac pauses, stares at the tray in his hand. Severus appears. Cormac pukes on his shoes. *laughs* And Harry tries to sneak away, but fails. Heheh. Funny.

Blah blah blah with Dumbledore and Harry and Tom Riddle memories and Slughorn.

By the way, the way they showed the memories in the pensieve is cool, but the altered memory from Slughorn was ALL WRONG. ALL WRONG, I SAY!

Ron eats love potion-ed chocolates from Romilda Vane to Harry and acts all doofy. That was pretty funny. Heh. Then when he's in the hospital room after getting poisoned from mead that Slughorn was going to give to Dumbledore, he mumbles Hermione's name in his sleep "Er...mi...on...eeee..."

Lavender who had run in, fumes, runs back out crying (though somehow her cry sounded more like she was laughing) and Dumbledore was like, "Ahh. Young love." *laughs*

Later, when Ron is fully conscious and goes to the Great Hall for a meal and Lavender's glaring daggers at Hermione, Ron and Harry's back, that was pretty darned hilarious. ;DD

Yadda yadda, Dumdledore and Harry are in the cave to get the necklace horcrux that turns out to be fake. The Inferi first coming out surprised the heck out of me. But ANNOYING POINT. So Dumbledore drinks all the poison (which scene was heartbreaking), after he finishes, he wants water. So Harry runs back to the little bowl when the poison was first in and Aguamenti-ed it and tried to scoop up the water, but the scoop would work, so he tried the lake water which was when the Inferi came out, but what gets me is this. If the scoop wouldn't work, why didn't Harry just Aguamenti straight into Dumbledore's mouth? Or he could have even made a fountain of water from his wand to let Dumbledore drink from. Or even cupped the water in his hands! WHAT A TOSSER!

The end was ALL WRONG too.

First of all, Harry doesn't get stupefied and stuck under the invisibility cloak. Instead, Dumbledore sends him to this little room under the Astronomy tower floor thing. Draco goes up.

And the dialogue between Draco and Dumbledore SUCKED EGGS. ROTTEN EGGS. Draco doesn't want to kill Dumbledore, but he says, "I have to! They'll kill me!" IS WRONG! It should be, "I have to! He'll kill my family!" This was CRUCIAL to the plot! How could the director have gotten it wrong?! The Malfoy's turn out in the end to be very family orientated and most eveything that Draco does is for his family. GOD. FAILURE.

He doesn't even get to lower his wand before, get this, the DEATH EATERS enter the tower. WTF?! There were never any Death Eaters in the tower, only Draco, Harry, and Severus. HOMG. Bellatrix does her taunting thing, Severus shushes Harry from doing anything before proceeding up the stairs to the tower and kills Dumbledore. Dumbledore falls off the tower. Then they all run away, pausing to set Hagrid's hut on fire of course.

Harry runs after them, screaming "Coward" or something similar to Severus, "He trusted you!" Severus tells him that he's the half blood prince. When there was never any indication that Severus knew that Harry had his old potions book besides the sectumsemptra spell.

The Death Eater skull appears over the sky and cue the scene to Dumbledore's body that is remarkably unscathed after falling out of the Astronomy Tower. Students are gathered around the body, along with McGonagall and random female teacher and Hagrid. I don't recall seeing the others...though my eyes were filled with tears so *cough* yes. There's this random female crying in the scene, and since it was only a single female, I thought it would be McGonagall, but nobody shows tears or emotions until Harry appears, covers Dumbledore's eyes and rests his hand on Dumbledore's chest.

Hermione lets out a silent tear and McGonagall raises her wand and sets off a lumos into the sky. The rest follow her example and the lumos blows away the Death Eater skull.

The end shows a scene with Harry and Hermione and Ron on the Astronomy tower (ooo, no bad memories?!), where Harry's telling them that he's going to go looking for Horcruxes and Hermione says that she's going with him and therefore so is Ron. Or course, in not so many words. Eh heh.

Okay, ending written out. The WRONGNESS OF IT ALL.

1) What the HELL are Death Eaters doing on the tower besides Draco, Severus, and Harry? (I already said this, but I must say it again, sorry) They're SUPPOSED to be attacking Hogwarts. Apparently, the director thought that the attack on Hogwarts was unnecessary and cut it out. Bill Weasley NEVER gets slashed by Greyback and that is SO WRONG. CRUCIAL POINT OF PLOT HERE!

2) Why is there a stupid room undernead the floor of the Astronomy tower?! And nobody notices that Harry is under there?! Severus shushes Harry. If Harry distrusts Severus the way that he's supposed to, WHY WOULD HE LISTEN TO HIM?! Harry's hero complex wouldn't have let him stand to the side while Dumbledore gets killed!

3) Dumbledore DOES NOT FALL OFF THE TOWER! He's supposed to be weakened by the poison and is already on the ground when Draco appears and points his wand to Dumbledore. Instead, he's standing upright, looking mighty healthy to me! When he goes "Severus, please." He doesn't even look desperate or in pain. The director didn't even give a frame to show Severus's emotion of him killing off his oldest friend! W.T.F?! Instead, all he does is whip out his wand and cast the death spell fast and them the camera doesn't even give a glimpse of his face. They just run. LAME.

4) NO ATTACK ON HOGWARTS! *cough* Sorry, but I can't get over that! How could they just let such a large plot point go?!

Personally, I thought the parts with Tom Feltion (Draco Malfoy) were the best parts of the entire movie though. ^^;; Go Draco Malfoy~!

And have you guys ever noticed that Ginny Weasley REALLY resembles Lily Evans? Red hair, smart (or at least gives off the feeling that she's pretty smart), fiery temper, etc? Because ewww~, that means that Harry's basically marrying him mom. Oedipus complex anybody? ;D But maybe I'm looking too much into this because I like slash so much better. *cough* Yes. SO WRONG.

And there ends my rant on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. *bows*

---

Movies I want to watch:

Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey, Jr.
The Lightning Thief

There was a couple slopes on the bike trail that we took...and on the way back, I was heading up one of them so slowly, my walking speed was faster. I gave up and had to walk my bike up the slope in the end. *sobs* I can't believe I'm so out of shape!

(Actually, I sorta can, but who sweats the small details? XDD)

*cough* Anyways. Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper!
03. Don't change your wallpaper before doing this!
The Spider on the Bus

So this morning, as I was riding on the bus to class, there was a SPIDER.

It was only one of those little small ones that you can squish with a thumb, but still. A spider. Which means a lot to me because, hello! Arachnophobe here! (And I'm not really sure if arachnophobe is actually a word or not because it keeps coming up underlined in red, but oh well!)

I was just staring into nothing the way you do when you have nothing better to do on public transportation. And then I spotted something moving. I focused, and it was a little tan spider that was wiggling its legs around the thin line of it's web. *shudders* It swung a little as the bus rumbled along. *goggled eyed*

I did the logical thing because I didn't want it on me, I gave it a big blow of air.

No more spider!

Or so I thought.

I returned to staring into air and then I saw it. On the shirt of the guy sitting in front of me.

It was on the shoulder blade area and I gave it my whole attention. I mean, what if it disappeared into the seat?! Then it could travel. Toward me. (And this is my arachnophobia-paranoia speaking.)

Anyways, it wiggled its way up to the shoulder and then it disappeared again.

Okay. Maybe it started crawling down the front of the shirt, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt here. When nothing shows, I return to staring into nothing.

Until I see the small brown spot wiggling on the guy's hair right by his ear.

Cue the internal scream of horror.

I swallowed hard and pressed back into the back of my seat and eyed the spider with, what I'm sure was a crazed look in my eye. In all seriousness, I broke out into goosebumps.

After who knows how long (too long to me), the spider disappeared again. And I'm begging him internally to get off the bus and take the spider with him. Sad to say, it didn't happen, but what happened next was even worse.

The guy's hair was the bristle-y, course kind, and so there were some strands that stuck up near the top of his head.

That's where the spider made its grand reappearance.

I had the internal monologue of ohmygodohmygodohmygodOHMYFREAKINGGOD! going on by now and I watched as the little thing stayed at the top of the guy's head and did its wiggle dance every time the bus gave a particular jolt. And the guy started moving his head, looking at a map, looking out the window.

ohmygodohmygodohmygodOHMYFREAKINGGOD!

When my bus stop comes, I'm out the door like my pants were on fire. And I gave my head a vigorous shaking just in case a little spider decided to make its own appearance on my head.

*shudders* That was the most eewwww experience I've had in a while. Maybe since ever. I hope that I NEVER have to see that happen again. And this experience might have traumatized me of that particular bench on all the buses.

Hot Fuzz

Just watched it with my dad...and it's HILARIOUS.

It makes fun of all the action movie cliches...and Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) was AWESOME. There was blood and gore and guns and knives and bombs and asskicking...all in a little countryside town in England called Sanford. (Or something like that)

AWESOME.

Chocolate Underground...

...is an anime that runs for thirteen episodes that are five minutes each. I watched it all in one setting.

The premise is that somehow, the government is set that chocolate is a banned item, and if you're caught with it in possession, you're sent to a "concentration camp". Of course, kids save the day.

XDD Hilarious! It's so implausible. I mean, can you imagine a life where there's no chocolate?! There would be chaos in a blink of an eye. >_< But the animation was clean and the kids were cute. *snickers* Meaning the main characters were two boys. Which could totally be slashed together. *cackles* Yeah, I have a one track mind.
