I watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today! I went to the first showing of the day, so entrance fee was just an amazing SIX dollars! Hooray for matinee and first showings~! Life is good~!
And since I ALWAYS have issues with the Harry Potter movies, today I shall rant it out for all of you to read at your leisure! There will be MUCHO spoilers, so if you haven't watched it yet, or don't care for spoilers, AVOID! Now, let us begin! *rubs palms together with an evil grin* YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED! I usually don't feel very charitable toward the HP movies.
( Click if you really want to. :D )
Movies I want to watch:
Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey, Jr.
The Lightning Thief

Just watched it with my dad...and it's HILARIOUS.
It makes fun of all the action movie cliches...and Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) was AWESOME. There was blood and gore and guns and knives and bombs and asskicking...all in a little countryside town in England called Sanford. (Or something like that)
AWESOME.

It says it's in select theatres near you...but doesn't say which ones. Only two days. L on the big screen...with no stupid Raito. NOOOO! Why is the stupid news article so stingy on the details?! I totally want to go see it!! *cries tears of blood* L...

It was KICK ASS AWESOME. The guys were ALL hot and *gasp* KISSING! Yes, on screen. And hugging. *sighs* I love how there's so much skinship between male friends in...most other continents except for the US. What's up with that?! If guys acted casually like that over here, cue the jokes on their sexuality. I totally wouldn't mind if that happened in front of me. Cue the fangirl squealing. I mean, hello! Eye candy! XDD
But yeah. Everybody should totally watch it. Hot guys. Good plot. Movie. No annoying female add-ons. *swoons*

Just watched it off the net on some random site that streams movies. Sobbed my bloody eyes raw. At multiple parts of the movie. ;_;
It wasn't so bad on the emotional scale, but Bud was so ignorant that I just wanted to reach into the computer screen to give him a good throttle or two. Molly, on the other hand, was a very cool character but she didn't have as big a part as I would have liked her to. Unfortunately, the movie didn't show which candidate that Bud eventually votes for after getting his act together, though if I think really hard about it, I'm actually not that curious to know. =_= The concept of the movie was pretty good, but the actual pulling off of it wasn't quite as good as I expected from the previews.
Loved the parts where they have the kids driving though. XDD I'm so jealous! They're able to drive better than I do! *laughs*

Found out that there's this writing contest type thing on Amazon here. XDD Sounds cool! Too bad none of my writes are long enough...If you win, you get published. o_O Awesome fun. >_<

Yum!
Found the recipe off epicurious.com, and since we had dying peaches, we decided to do the recipe. We made the crust first and then stuck it in the fridge for like...two days? 'Cause we kept procrastinating the baking process. Finally got to it today...at this point, "we" became a "me". -_-;; Wasn't so bad though the food processor was friggin' loud and scared the crud out of me every time I had to push it on.
I had to make almond paste, but I suppose I took the "very smooth" part of the recipe too seriously, and did it...overtime. My aunt ran out of her room and asked what was taking so long, and took one look at the paste I was beating into submission and told me it was done already. XD I felt like a dork but whatever, I felt that it could have been smoother...
The peaches were cut, and were pretty ripe. -_- Made my mouth water as I was slicing. XD
We had to find another recipe for the tart crust though because the epicurious.com recipe was kinda incomplete. ;_; Mildly annoying, that was.
The tart actually turned out pretty well. XD I had to roll out the refridgerated dough--it came out pretty thin. >_< It was fun rolling out the dough. Spreading out the almond paste was pretty fun too...putting on the peach slices was too. XD Waiting for the tart to cook wasn't so fun.
Grandpa woke up and stayed up so that he could eat some when it was done. -_- He was very impatient and kept babbling at me on what to do in Chinese. But, that was out and out Grandpa style.
When the tart came out of the oven (we used a toaster oven because I dislike large stove top ovens), my aunt could hardly wait to eat it. XD I had to make her wait for the tart to cool down first. :)

Yesterday, went to watch Iron Man...so awesome! XD I lo~ved it! I understand why my aunt could watch it three times. >_< I wanna watch it again too...
Sneaked (though it was more like walk boldly but the theater was so empty, it was all good) into Journey to the Center of the Earth--it was pretty darn good! Had some startling points which had me yelping...*blushes* But that was okay because the theater was near empty. XD

XD *total fangirl squeal* My second time watching this in twenty four hours. It's so much better than the movies of Death Note because Raito (or the really not-Raito material actor) only makes a brief cameo, and the WHOLE thing is about L~!
Totally recommended because the L actor is so friggn' awesome as L...*swoons* I wish there was more...

On a side note, watched Wall-E today in theaters. XD It was cute. But I think Kung Fu Panda was way more hilarious. The Pixar short film in the beginning was hilarious though. <3 Now I wanna watch Get Smart. 8D
Still sore from playing Wii for the first time ever on Sunday. Advice: Never play Wii Sports Boxing ever again. *dies*

I watched August Rush today. I was awesome. I was glued to the screen, and at some parts, I actually cried. It was a good movie...though the end kinda sucked because the director decided to leave it to our own imaginations. *pouts* I'd have rather watched it on screen.
It's a re-watchable movie, for sure! XD

I just watched Charlie Bartlett. *sighs* Ahh~ it was a good movie. Made me cry twice throughout the entire thing.
The ending was just right. :)

Watched The Astronaut Farmer with my dad this morning. Such a good story! I cried through more than half of it. TT_TT Good thing there was a happy ending. I think I would have cried my eyes raw otherwise. --_--
